Your screenshots stay yours

Chrome extension

The Screens extension collects no personal data. When you click the toolbar icon it captures the visible tab, holds that image in temporary browser session storage, and opens it in the editor. Everything happens on your device. Screenshots, page URLs, and your settings are never sent to us or anyone else.

Permissions: activeTab lets it capture the tab you clicked it on, only at that moment. storage passes the screenshot from the toolbar button to the editor tab, in temporary session storage that is cleared when the browser closes. Saved presets stay in your browser's local storage.

The editor loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address like any web request.

Website

screens.click edits images in your browser. Images are never uploaded. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which features people use. It sets cookies and collects standard usage data such as pages viewed, browser type, and approximate location. See Google's privacy policy.
